LYTT, the Las Vegas-based company which disrupted the hard seltzer market with imperial hard seltzers such as Agent Orange and Pink Payload, is taking a new tack with its launch of standard ABV hard seltzers infused with the Brazilian herb guarana.

The new line of LYTT tea seltzers is offered in three varieties: Raspberry Black Tea, Moroccan Mint Tea, and Peach Black Tea.

Unique to these new seltzers is the addition of the guarana ingredient, sourced from the seeds of a woody shrub native to Brazil and the Amazon basin. In its pure form, guarana is considered a dietary herb supplement, with about twice the caffeine of the coffee bean, and is found in Red Bull, Monster Energy, and other energy drinks. Due to its stimulating effects, guarana has long been considered an aphrodisiac in folk therapy, but it does have certain documented health benefits.

RASPBERRY BLACK TEA

The Raspberry Black Tea from LYTT is guarana-infused to provide the interesting effects of guarana. It’s 5% alcohol by volume (ABV), the same as a standard White Claw or Truly hard seltzer. The 12-oz can is a bright pink very modern, clean, and fun design.

This hard seltzer is gluten free. The company explains it has a “crisp refreshing flavor that pushes aside the fermented alcohol aftertaste many consumers dislike.”

The Raspberry Black Tea has zero sugar and 100 calories per 12 ounce aluminum can.

According to the company’s founder and CEO, Michel Myara, it is “full-flavored and naturally sweetened with monk fruit.”

MOROCCAN MINT TEA

Boasting ingredients of guarana, natural mint flavor, monk fruit, and organic green tea, this crisp seltzer crafted with organic alcohol contains only 5% alcohol by volume in its 12 oz can. That means you can drink 3 of these cans for every 12 ounces of LYTT’s Agent Orange and have the same effect.

The product contains only 100 calories and 0 grams fat. There is only 1 gram of carbs, and a measly 25 mg of sodium. As a point of reference, there are 2,300 mg of sodium in a teaspoon of table salt.

The Moroccan Mint Tea is 100% gluten-free and is a seltzer, so does contain carbonation.

PEACH BLACK TEA

Rounding out the new lineup of hard seltzers from LYTT is the guarana-infused Peach Black Tea. While the Raspberry Black Tea and Moroccan Mint Tea are sweetened with monk fruit, the Peach Black tea is the company’s unsweetened variety.

It contains only organic alcohol, black tea, guarana, natural peach flavor, citric acid, and water.

Like the other products in this guarana-infused lineup, the Peach Black Tea has only 100 calories, 1 gram of carbs, and is gluten-free.

The LYTT line of imperial hard seltzers clock in at 15% ABV and are not for the faint of heart. But these new hard seltzers could be the company’s way of attracting a health-conscious crowd seeking a lift.
