Get some Ready-to-Drink cocktails when you’re “Ready-to-Launch.”
Devils Backbone Distilling Co. is giving away $5,000 and a fridge packed with canned cocktails to a lucky winner. You’ll have to work for it, however. The winner goes to the maker of Pinterest board who uses the hashtags #DBRTDs and #Sweepstakes when posting pictures of their dream pad. Given the pandemic, a Pew Research study indicates that more young adults are living with their parents after college graduation than at any time since the Great Depression.
The Virginia based brewery, acquired by Anheuser-Busch (NYSE: BUD) in 2016, was founded by Steve and Heidi Crandall. They recently launched a line of ready-to-drink cocktails in 12 ounce cans. Varieties include Orange Smash, Vodka Soda, Vodka Mule, and Gin & Tonic.
The orange smash is made with real vodka, fresh orange juice, and lemon-lime soda.
The Ready-to-Launch contest is intended to give people something to look forward to in 2021. The vision for their own space will be encapsulated in the Pinterest board.
Devils Backbone Distilling COO Hays Humphreys explained the contest on a recent interview with Roanoke, Virginia, news station WFXR. “We wanted to give something for people to look forward to,” said Humphreys. “We’re supporting the dream to have your own place, when the pandemic ends when they can start the next phase of their life.”
“We’re going to provide them with $5,000 and a custom beverage fridge stocked with ready-to-drink cocktails so that they can throw a housewarming party when it’s safe to do so,” explained Humphreys.
Deadline to enter is December 31, 2020, and a winner will be selected by mid-January. Open to anyone aged 21 and over.
