Mark Anthony Brewing announced a new state-of-the art brewing and canning facility in South Carolina.  The new plant will be located in metro Columbia, and create approximately 300 jobs for the state.

Columbia, in Richland County, SC, is strategically situated at the intersection of I-20 and I-77.  It’s approximately 4 hours to Atlanta and a 90-minute drive to Charlotte.

Governor Henry McMaster hailed the plans as “commitment to the community and state (that) will be felt for decades to come.”

The state established a grant of $4.6 million for infrastructure improvements and another $1.5 million for the adjacent property, in order to develop sites for warehouses served by rail.

Construction will begin immediately and the plant is expected to be operational by June of 2021.

John Sacksteder, President at Mark Anthony Brewing Inc, and approaching his 9th year with the company, said “this new state-of-the-art facility will be a center of excellence for our patented PureBrew process which allows White Claw, Mike’s and our growing portfolio of market-leading beverages to taste like no other.”

The company has teamed with the South Carolina Technical College System to expedite hiring for the facility.  A special webpage has been established as a lead funnel for job applicants.
