The hard seltzer from the brand team at Bang Energy has arrived at grocery stores and other outlets. Sightings were reported at Harris Teeter in North Carolina. Kroger, QuikTrip and 7-Eleven convenience stores, as well as grocery stores inside Target and Walmart also began receiving the long-awaited product.
The hard seltzer was originally announced late last year, but parent company Quash Seltzer LLC has been navigating distribution challenges. The company also sued Pepsi, claiming the soft drink maker was interfering.
The caffeine free sparkling beverage is the first in the hard category by the Miami-based company. CEO Jack Owoc has explained that the product would not be like others. “We are serious about innovation that exceeds all expectation,” Owoc proclaimed.
MIXX will have 100 calories and 5% ABV, but free of caffeine and carbs. Four electrolytes have been added, in keeping with tradition of Bang Energy drinks. Introductory flavors include Frosé Rosé, Piña Colada, Purple Kiddles, and Strawberry Blast. MIXX mix pack #1 has been released with all four in a 12 pack of 12-ounce slim cans.
