If the thought of finishing your 2020 taxes makes you want to reach for a hard drink, Coors Seltzer has you covered. The brand is giving away free 12 packs of its hard seltzer in honor of this year’s Tax Day.

From now until this year’s filing deadline – which was pushed back until Monday, May 17 – you can “write off” a Coors Seltzer 12 pack and the company will pick up the tab. Just be sure to keep that receipt so you can upload it online, and Coors will reimburse you via VENMO or Paypal, up to $20.

Official rules and regulations can be found here. The offer is not valid in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, Utah, or West Virginia.

Molson Coors’ (NYSE: TAP) signature seltzer debuted last October in four flavors: Black Cherry, Grapefruit, Lemon Lime, and Mango. Each can contains a fairly light 90 calories per can and 4.5% ABV.

If you’ve yet to try Coors Seltzer, now is the perfect time – and it’ll help make Tax Day a little easier to swallow. As an added bonus, you’ll also be helping to clean local rivers at the same time.

Coors Seltzer partners with Change the Course, an organization dedicated to water reclamation and conservation. For every 12 pack sold, Coors has pledged to clean 500 gallons of river water. Not a bad way to help ease the Tax Day pain.

The brand’s initial volunteer contest is also coming to a close at the end of this month, so be sure to get your entries in while you can. One ultimate volunteer will win a free year’s worth of Coors Seltzer (in the form of $500).

“Americans are drinking an astounding amount of hard seltzer, but it’s not doing much good,” said Matt Escalante, Molson Coors’ senior director of above premium flavors, when the contest kicked off around the time of Coors Seltzer’s launch.

“With the launch of Coors Seltzer and its volunteer program, we’re setting out to provide a seltzer that tastes good and also gives drinkers an opportunity to do good with each and every sip.”

The volunteer program is a clever way to appeal to socially conscious consumers, who like knowing that their purchasing dollars are doing good and giving back to the community.

It’s also a great way to establish a stronger connection to the original beer brand, with its famous slogan, “Taste the Rockies.” The rivers being restored via Coors’ partnership with Change the Course include some in the Rocky Mountains, ensuring that the Rockies will continue to taste clean and fresh for generations to come.

If you have not filed your taxes for 2020, it is time to snag your free Coors Seltzer and get to work. And if your taxes are already finished? Congratulations! You deserve a celebratory seltzer. Drink to completing your civic duty while helping to restore America’s river water at the same time.
