Florida’s 3 Daughters Brewing is giving its hard seltzer a new look. The brewery recently restyled its spiked and sparkling line, going from traditional beverage cans to sleek new slim cans, with a design inspired by the Sunshine State. The hip new cans feature bold colors and a vibrant Floridian sunset.
The re-design coincides with the release of 3 Daughters new variety 12 pack, featuring three new uniquely Floridian flavors – Key Lime Margarita, Pineapple Mango Sunset, and the Strawberry Floridita, inspired by the classic Strawberry Daiquiri. The new flavors are slightly stronger than 3 Daughters first spiked and sparkling waters, and contain 4.8% ABV.
“Inspired by the flavors of Florida, with a nod to its classic cocktail culture, the new Florida Hard Seltzer mixed pack is available now in our Tasting Room, and is coming soon to retailers and restaurants across the state,” the company said in an Instagram post announcing the expansion. “It’s the only seltzer you need this summer.”
The brewery celebrated the occasion by throwing “A Sip of Summer: Beach Blonde Block Party.” The event included fun giveaways and free samples of the new seltzer. 3 Daughter’s Florida variety pack will soon be available statewide.
Founded in 2013, the St. Petersburg based 3 Daughters is now one of the state’s largest independent breweries. The brewery is the brainchild of owner/ chief executive officer Mike Harting and head brewer Ty Weaver.
While trying to develop a craft beer battered fish recipe for a local restaurant, the pair decided to try using their own homemade brews. On a whim they put the beer on tap, where it quickly outsold every other beer they had.”
Where do the daughters come in, you ask? So did Mike’s wife, asking him “how many beers do we have to sell to put our three daughters through college?” inspiring the brewery’s name.
Today it is a family affair, as 3 Daughters has grown into one of the state’s largest independently and family owned breweries. The company’s mission is driven by “crafting great beer, sharing that beer with our friends, and supporting our community.”
“Whether you’re having a pint in our Tasting Room, buying a six pack from the store, or trying us out on tap anywhere across Florida, you’re a part of keeping that mission alive.”
Previous seltzer releases from 3 Daughters include the Beach Box, a variety 12 pack that includes Lemon Lime, Orange, and Raspberry. The original flavors weigh in at 4.5% ABV. Customers can also enjoy the OG variety in Mango and Watermelon.
The brewery is known for its fruit forward craft beers that are inspired by local flavors. Popular varieties include the Beach Blonde Ale, Tropical Hefe, and Florida Orange IPA. In addition to craft beer and its Florida Hard Seltzer, 3 Daughters also makes wine, sangria, and cider.
Here’s hoping the 3 Daughters family brings that sparkling Florida sunshine to the rest of the country soon. We can’t wait to try the state’s new cocktail inspired flavors.
