Wild Basin’s fan favorite flavor Strawberry Coconut is being promoted – this month the company announced that it is launching the popular flavor as a standalone 12 pack. It will also be available in single serve 19.2 ounce tallboy cans.
Strawberry Coconut was initially introduced as part of the Wild Basin Berry Mix 12 pack. It can still be found with Black Raspberry, Blueberry Mango, and Yumberry. Blackberry is also available as a standalone flavor in a 6 pack.
Wild Basin’s Original Mix includes such adventurous combinations as Cucumber Peach, Melon Basil, Tangerine Lime, and Yuzu Pineapple.
The company also sells a Cocktail Mix, which features Citrus Spritz, Fruity Sangria, Habanero Pina Colada, and Mango Mai Tai.
Each 12 ounce can of Wild Basin is vegan, gluten free, and contains only 100 calories and one carb.
“With jammy berry and a hint of coconut, Strawberry Coconut has always been a stand-out flavor. We’re excited that it’s getting a chance to shine as its own, dedicated 12 pack,” said Wild Basin Marketing Manager Sarah Stanoch. “For the Strawberry Coconut superfan, this one goes out to you.”
Based in Colorado, Wild Basin Hard Seltzer is crafted and canned out of Oskar Blues Brewery. It boasts the notable title of first nationally distributed craft hard seltzer, according to the company.
Last month the company announced new packaging for Wild Basin, giving the brand a refresh in its third year on the market.
The new can design, a colorful abstract of pine trees and mountain ranges, is meant to reflect “brand’s growth and evolution,” according to a statement announcing the updated look.
The new design is inspired by the seltzer’s own namesake; the company describes the Wild Basin as a “pristine wilderness area in the Rocky Mountains.”
With this aesthetic change, the brand also further defines itself. “Verbiage has been changed to Hard Seltzer rather than Boozy Sparkling Water, for increased clarity and visibility on the shelf,” said Wild Basin at the launch of the redesign.
Last year was a big one for Wild Basin. In 2020, the company “grew by 334%, with Berry Mix Pack ranking #9 among new variety 12-packs – momentum that shows no sign of slowing.”
Much of the brand’s growth is currently being driven by strong on-premise sales. Demand continues to grow as restaurant and bar sales return.
“We are shipping 1/6 bbls and ½ bbls of Strawberry Coconut and Black Raspberry flavors of Wild Basin Hard Seltzer to any of our distributors who purchase them in all 50 states,” the company said in an email.
” We anticipate [on-premise sales] to continue to show growth.”
The trendy new look reflects Wild Basin’s commitment to the outdoors. The hard seltzer is “designed for craft drinkers who value the outdoors and living an active lifestyle,” according to the company’s website.
In order to further that mission, “a portion of proceeds from each Mix Pack sale goes toward Can’d Aid to support river and beach cleanups nationwide.”
Pick up a 12 pack of Strawberry Coconut and support America’s rivers and beaches.
