Truly Hard Seltzer has revealed that its first taproom will be located in Los Angeles with an opening date in early 2022.
Truly, the brand from Boston Beer Company (NYSE: SAM), took an early #2 position in hard seltzer share and has managed to maintain that position throughout the rising popularity of the hard seltzer category. Now offered him 22 flavors including lemonade, tea and Truly Extra, the brand prize itself on innovation and the purging things differently.
Truly LA taproom broke ground in August, and according to the brand team is its first brick-and-mortar location with no details about additional locations of the concept.
The 8,000 square foot, 350-person indoor/outdoor taproom will be designed to bring Truly to life in a new, dynamic way.
Managers of the location promise fans an opportunity to explore Truly on tap — but also be among the first to sample experimental new flavors and innovative cocktail concoctions with Truly hard seltzer as the base.
“Our drinkers are all about exploration and discovery, and we want to give them that in unexpected ways,” said Lesya Lysyj, CMO of the Boston Beer Company. “We wanted to do something no one else has done – and that’s how Truly LA was born. At its core, our brand is all about bringing people together and forming genuine connections, and Truly LA is a physical representation of that sentiment.”
Local artists are being lined up to complete murals on the exterior. Truly will also leverage its existing partnership with Live Nation to bring visitors ongoing entertainment in the form of a Truly Inspired concert series and comedy shows, which will be livestreamed from the taproom.
The goal is to “push the norm and give guests an experience unlike any other,” according to a release from the company.
Truly LA is located in the heart of the downtown Los Angeles Arts District and adjacent to Angel City Brewery, the taproom is “committed to partnering with like-minded, socially conscious organizations with a strong focus on inclusivity.”
