Creating exciting packaging to help salvage taproom sales in the midst of a pandemic, Lagunitas Brewing has launched a unique glass package for its takeaway draft hard seltzer, hard coffee, hard kombucha, and beer.

Dubbed the Flight Pack, the Petaluma, CA-brewer now provides to-go packaging in glass bottles for customers wanting the freshest seltzer and beer. The 10 ounce glass container have a rip cap and come in a specially configured 6-pack carrier.

The Petaluma taproom is currently offering abbreviated hours with social distancing, but given the concerns of California residents, having a to-go options fills a need with consumers.

The taproom has eliminated open seating, opting for a more controlled environment of assigned seating by a server. They’ve also nixed inside seating, reservations, and parties of 10 or more. Rules are in compliance with Sonoma County and the State of California guidelines, and include strict cleaning and sanitation measures.

O-I Glass makes the innovative container, which has a wide opening, allowing for improved aroma when consuming directly from the package. Beer connoisseurs typically pour their beverage from a can or bottle into a glass, in order to fully appreciate aroma and color of the brew.

Current hard non-beer draft options from the brewer include More than Infinity hard seltzer, Prickly Fuzz hard seltzer, Twang Tea hard kombucha, and Nitro Blisserin’, a 4.8% ABV hard coffee made with a Guatemala/Colombia blend coffee from Addictive Coffee Roasters.
