Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing Company announced the launch of Victory Waves Craft Hard Seltzer later this month. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Victory Waves since Hard Seltzer News first reported that the brewer was seeking a seltzer trademark in November of last year. The brand was one of the top 11 New Hard Seltzers Coming in 2021 feature story by Hard Seltzer News.
Victory Waves will be available in four flavors including Lime, Mango, Orange and Mixed Berry, and can be purchased in 12-count variety packs. Each 12 ounce can contains 100 calories, less than 1 gram of sugar and an ABV of 5%. The seltzer is gluten free and sweetened with monk fruit.
Waves will initially be available in its home state of Pennsylvania as well as regionally in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Washington DC, Delaware and Connecticut.
The hard seltzer launch coincides with Victory’s 25th anniversary. The brewer is celebrating their milestone with several initiatives including the release of Brotherly Love Hazy IPA this past February and the creation of the Brotherly Love Community Fund. Partnering with national non-profit Back On My Feet, the Brotherly Love Fund has donated $10,000 to help individuals experiencing homelessness and hopes to donate $25,000 by the end of the year.
Victory Brewing is one of the largest regional brewers of craft beer in the country and is known for popular brews such as DirtWolf and Golden Monkey. They anticipate the same success with the newest member of their brand family and their first hard seltzer, Victory Waves.
“We know that our consumers are drinking more than craft beer today,” said Artisanal Brewing Ventures Chief Marketing Officer, Derek Detenber.
“They are drinking across categories. Wine, spirits, and hard seltzers are all part of the consideration set in their various drinking occasions. And, while there are many big players in the hard seltzer space, there is an opportunity to deliver a high-quality seltzer experience that comes from a brand that consumers across our home region identifies with,” Detenber concluded.
ABV of Seltzer
Artisanal Brewing Ventures (ABV), Victory Brewing’s umbrella corporation, includes brewers like Southern Tier Distilling, Southern Tier Brewing, Sixpoint Brewing, and Bold Rock Cider. The craft brands in the ABV family are currently all east-coast focused, and it ranks as a top 10 regional craft brewer in the United States.
The company is no stranger to seltzers as Bold Rock has a successful line of hard seltzers, hard seltzer lemonades, hard teas and ready-to-drink cocktails like Copper Mule. Sixpoint has been working on its own hard seltzer.
Southern Tier Distilling released a lineup of Vodka Seltzers in August of 2019. Current varieties include Watermelon & Cucumber, Blood Orange & Pomelo, Black Cherry & Pomegranate, and Mango & Peach. The distillery also packages and markets Vodka Soda, Bourbon Smash, Vodka Madras, and Gin & Tonic canned cocktails.
Waves Marketing
Victory Waves will be marketed with music lovers in mind. The product line will launch with a marketing campaign called “Summer on Repeat.” The campaign gives fans the chance to win a VIP concert experience and will also feature specially curated summer playlists via Victory’s Spotify channel.
The seltzer’s website boasts that it is “perfect for those occasions when the beat drops and the music is flowin’.”
“Victory’s passion for delivering the best tasting products for those memorable moments in life applies not only to our extensive craft beer offerings, but it also extends to this new line of craft hard seltzers,” Detenber assures fans. Victory Waves Craft Hard Seltzer may be a first for Victory Brewing but the company hopes it will be a welcome addition to their line.
