VIDE wants you to “drink with intention.” The New York-born premium canned cocktail brand has just launched a new flavor–its first tequila-based offering–Grapefruit Tequila Soda. Crafted with real spirits and a subtle flavor profile, VIDE is offering modern consumers a more refined option for their drinking enjoyment.

VIDE’s Grapefruit Tequila Soda is made with only three ingredients–tequila blanco, carbonated water and natural grapefruit flavor. The company describes its products as “refreshingly light,” with a “subtle flavor” and “crisp taste.”

VIDE Grapefruit Tequila Soda joins the company’s four vodka-based beverages including Watermelon Vodka Soda, Cranberry Vodka Soda, Peach Vodka Soda, and Mango Vodka Soda on retail shelves across the country. According to the company, a Pineapple Tequila Soda flavor will be launching this coming winter season.

VIDE’s pre-mixed lineup of ready-to-drink cocktails, including its new grapefruit variety, all contain 99 calories, zero carbs, zero sugar and an ABV of 5%. The beverages are sold in 4-packs of individual flavors, which carry a suggested maximum price (SMP) of $10.99. The vodka flavors are also available in an 8-can variety pack. VIDE is working towards expanding its distribution. The brand is currently available along the east and west coasts as well as online.

Ryan Laverty and Sal Campisi, college friends who founded VIDE in 2019, explain, “We made a product for people like us; those who aren’t enticed by anything artificial, chose to live life to the fullest and never settle for anything but the best. We tell a story that’s transparent and honest, because our standards are as high as yours.”

VIDE’s canned cocktails are made for consumers in search of a more mature alternative to overly sweetened, malt-based RTD beverages packed with artificial flavors. The company’s website promises, “As you develop a finer palette, and require higher quality ingredients, we are here to satisfy your new needs.”

Laverty and Campisi have garnered support for VIDE from experts in more than one industry. The beverage line has recently received investments from a prominent businessman and investor as well as a former Miss Universe turned entrepreneur. David Adelman, who is the CEO of Campus Apartments and the founder of Darco Capital, is an investor in VIDE. Darco Capital has invested in a handful of beverage alcohol beverage brands such as Beach Whiskey, Recess, Beatbox and Rise Brewing.

Last year Adelman was joined by Olivia Culpo, whose titles include Miss Universe 2012, model, actress, influencer, entrepreneur and philanthropist, as lead investors in a 2020 round of seed funding for the beverage brand. Culpo has also added another title to her impressive resume, becoming VIDE’s Creative Director.

VIDE’s founders, alongside Adelman and Culpo, encourage fans to hold their beverages to a higher standard. The brand’s new Grapefruit Tequila Soda offers another way to do just that. The company reminds consumers, “If spiked seltzer can grow up, so can you.”
