Bud Light Seltzer shared more information about its upcoming limited edition Fall Flannel variety pack. Three new flavors will join one returning seasonal favorite from last year’s Ugly Sweater variety pack.
In June of this year Hard Seltzer News reported that Bud Light’s autumnal offerings would likely include Toasted Marshmallow, Maple Pear, and of course Pumpkin Spice, after the company filed for label approval with the TTB. Those new flavors plus Apple Crisp, which first made its debut in 2020’s holiday variety pack, will be included.
The Apple Crisp flavor is reminiscent of a sparkling hard cider with a dash of cinnamon and spice. Bud Light Seltzer promises that all four flavors taste like “fall in a can.”
“Since launching Bud Light Seltzer, we have continued to disrupt the seltzer category by expanding our portfolio with unexpected and delicious flavors,” said Andy Goeler, vice president of marketing for Bud Light.
“We’re excited to bring our limited-edition Fall Flannel variety pack to the market, giving consumers a new innovation that is inspired by the season and perfect for all autumn occasions.”
Falls Designs Grace the Packaging
As the name suggests, the Fall Flannel varieties do come decked out in their best seasonal plaids. The box itself is decked out in a cozy red and black buffalo plaid.
Bud Light Seltzer, the self-purported “brand known for bringing the fun,” has so far dressed all of its seasonal flavors in fun and photographic cans. Last winter’s Ugly Sweater holiday flavors of course came decked out in its best winter sweater prints, while the Out of Office variety pack, inspired by classic cocktails, all boasted their own floral prints.
And of course, this summer’s Retro Summer variety pack is being immortalized as the Retro Tie Dye variety pack, on account of its cool tie dye cans. While initially intended to be a limited edition seasonal offering, the retro flavors proved to be so popular that Bud Light Seltzer is making it available year round.
Retro Pack’s Success Led to More Innovation
The timeless nostalgic flavors in the Retro Tie Dye pack include Cherry Limeaid, Blue Raspberry, and Twisted Berry (initially branded as Summer Ice).
“Our consumers have continued to reach for Bud Light Seltzer because they know we consistently deliver the great taste and fun flavors they’re looking for,” said Goeler last month upon announcing that the Retro Tie Dye flavors would join the permanent line up.
“Our ability to remain nimble has allowed us to run the edge of innovation, like we did with the Bud Light Seltzer Retro pack, and its success speaks for itself. We’re thrilled to now be offering Retro’s flavors to fans and new seltzer drinkers alike year-round.”
The new Fall Flannel flavors will be available nationwide from September 6 through the end of October. Keeping in line with the other Bud Light Seltzer varieties, each 12 oz slim can contains 100 calories and 5% ABV. They are made with natural flavors and sweetened with cane sugar.
Bud Light Seltzer has continued to push the envelope for seasonal flavors. We can’t wait to see what else fall has in store for hard seltzer.
