June is coming in hot, and Truly is offering consumers a new way to beat the heat. The hard seltzer brand launched a line of Lemonade Freeze Pops on Tuesday featuring Strawberry Lemonade, Mango Lemonade and Original Lemonade flavors.

Truly freeze pops flavors were inspired by Truly Lemonade’s variety pack which was released last year. Truly hopes their limited edition frozen treats will be a summer favorite.

Each 100ml Truly Lemonade Freeze Pop contains 80 calories, no gluten, and an ABV of 5%. They are sold in 12-count variety packs and are expected to be available in select states throughout the warm season. For reference, a standard 12 ounce can of Truly Lemonade Hard Seltzer also contains an ABV of 5%, but because of the difference in volume between the pops and the seltzers, approximately 3.5 pops equals the same amount of alcohol as 1 can of seltzer.

Due to supply limitations the pops will only be available in 27 states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Residents of the aforementioned states can snag the frozen pops in alcohol retail locations where Truly is sold.

Last summer Truly created a buzz when they launched a line of  limited edition seltzer-infused ice-creams and sorbets in partnership with Tipsy Scoop. Truly Lemonade Ice Cream and Truly Lemonade Sorbet came in four refreshing flavors including Lemonade Ice Cream, Black Cherry Lemonade Ice Cream, Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet, and Mango Lemonade Sorbet. The sweet treats also contained an ABV of 5%.

Truly is one of the most popular hard seltzer brands on the market, consistently ranking #2 in sales, after White Claw. The Boston Beer Company brand has captured a formidable 26% share of the US seltzer market. The company’s ever growing product lineup now includes a wide variety of original Truly Hard Seltzer flavors and variety packs, Truly Lemonade, Truly Iced Tea, Truly Punch, and Truly Extra, which boasts an 8% ABV.

Other Frozen Boozy Icicles Popping Up

Truly isn’t the only brand helping consumers stay cool with boozy ice pops. Bud Light is set to release their version, Bud Light Seltzer Frozen Icicles, in the upcoming weeks. Their 2 ounce seltzer icicles contain 30 calories each, an ABV of 5%, and will be available in three flavors including Blue Raspberry, Summer Ice and Cherry Limeade.

Another Anheuser-Busch brand, Natural Light also recently launched Naturdays, a line of frozen icicles with an ABV of 8%. The 2 ounce pops are available in a variety pack featuring Strawberry Lemonade and Pineapple Lemonade flavors.

Still another Anheuser-Busch brand, Cutwater Spirits introduced Cutwater Cocktail Pops last summer in two variety pack options. Frozen Cocktail Spirit Pops feature Tequila Margarita, Rum & Cola, Gin Melon and Vodka Mule flavors, while Frozen Margarita Spirit Pops feature Mango Margarita, Pineapple Margarita, Strawberry Margarita and Lime Margarita flavors. The pops contain 80 calories each and an ABV of 7%.

Costco is getting in on the popsicle action as well. They are selling their own brand of frozen alcohol pops, Kirkland Signature Frozen Cocktails. Each pop contains 100 calories or less and an ABV of 8%. They come in three flavors including Lime Drop, Watermelon Hibiscus and Strawberry Freeze and they’re a boozy bargain coming in around $14.99 for an 18-pack.

However, if Truly Lemonade Freeze Pops prove to be as popular as the brand’s extensive line of hard seltzers, they will almost certainly be the most talked about treat of the summer.
